Eligibility
The Awards are open to living artisans and artists who have committed their working lives to excellence in their chosen craft practice.
Candidates must meet the minimum experience requirements for the relevant award category:
Craft Master - Minimum of 20 years professional practice.
Honourable Craft Master - Minimum of 40 years professional practice.
Candidates must be residents of, or primarily practice within, the Asia Pacific region.
Candidates must be nominated by another individual or organisation. Self-nominations are not permitted
Criteria
The nominator and candidate will need to provide responses and support material for a range of criteria.

Technical Skills & Excellence in Chosen Materials
Innovation & Invention
Leadership & Mentoring Roles
Teaching & Transfer of Craft Knowledge
Sustainable Practice & Circular Economy
National & International Recognition & Collaboration

How To Nominate An Artist
Nominations for the Asia Pacific Craft Master Awards are submitted through an official nomination form. This form is completed by the nominator (an APCA member or affiliated organisation). Self-nominations are not permitted.
The nomination process requires information and supporting materials from both the nominator and candidate. The nominator will work with the candidate to gather the necessary details about the artisan’s work, achievements, and professional background before submitting the nomination.
A number of support documents are also due at the time of submission.
