WELCOME
Welcome to the Asia Pacific Crafts Alliance (APCA). This new organisation has been developed in response to the changing needs of the crafts sector and its ecosystems in our vast region and the importance of a broader membership base with clear democratic rights. There is a need for enhanced advocacy to support the community, cultural and economic impacts of the craft sector in the Asia Pacific Region.
Updated structures, accountable organisational requirements, and systems enable us to work effectively with governments, agencies and foundations, and closely with our member organisations, individual artisans and artists.
APCA has historic ties to the WCC APR with many members in common, including within our board. Our intention is to continue to work in parallel with WCC APR, but to use our newly acquired status to further advance the needs of craft artisans, artists and the organisations that support them. We are a democratic body whose expanded voting rights and membership voice enables full participation in decision making and direction.
