Theme: “World Cultural Heritage: Traditions, Crafts, Continuity.”

Since 2006, the OIMO festival has contributed to the development of cultural tourism and entrepreneurship based on intangible cultural heritage. It is a significant cultural event in the Kyrgyz Republic and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Its mission is to promote and preserve the traditional culture and crafts of Kyrgyzstan and the world.

Activities at the event include:

  • Ethnic music concert program at the opening of the XX OIMO International Festival 2026

  • International craft fair

  • Daily workshops and master classes

  • Fashion show of traditional Kyrgyz costumes and designers from Central Asian countries

  • International conference: “Preservation of traditional culture and development of creative industries based on intangible cultural heritage”

  • Screenings of documentary films on traditional crafts and creatives

  • Art and photography exhibitions

  • National competition among artisans and creators

  • Public talks with creators

And a special memorial for Dinara Chochunbaeva - Founder of the IF "OIMO" and Honored Worker of Culture and ICH expert
