OFICI Traditional Craft Fair: Inaugural Open Call

  • 506 Lloc Parador Nacional Turisme Cardona, Catalunya, 08261 Spain (map)

Applications open 1st May to 30th June 2026

The OFICI Traditional Craft Fair is a newly created platform dedicated to promoting the craft sector by integrating traditional trades into contemporary markets. Organised by the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion Catalonia (CCAM) alongside the agency Le Département, and supported by the Government of Catalonia, the fair will position craftsmanship as a premier cultural, creative, and economic practice. Beyond showcasing exquisite craftsmanship, the event will integrate gastronomy, music, and diverse activities into a single vibrant space. The inaugural fair will take place from 6th to 8th November 2026 at the Cardona Castle in Barcelona.

Open Call

OFICI is seeking creators who represent excellence and tradition. A dedicated Cultural Committee will evaluate portfolios based on technical mastery, creative value, and the ability to convey the essence of traditional craftsmanship.

  • Open to individual artisans, collectives, artisan brands, associations, and institutions sharing a vision of quality.

  • Welcomes proposals focused on ceramics, jewellery, lacquer, metal, glass, paper, wood, textiles, plant based fibres, and new biomaterials, as well as any other material entering into a dialogue with craft and technique.

  • Interested individuals must submit a professional portfolio via email. This document should reflect not only the quality of the finished pieces through high-resolution images, but also the craft behind them, the detail of the materials, the creative process, and the artisan’s career through their curriculum vitae.
    Send your portfolio to: contact@le-departement.com

The first edition will feature a Cultural Committee composed of leading professionals from different fields, responsible for evaluating and selecting participating proposals:

  • Laura Miguel Baumann, Secretary General, European Crafts Alliance

  • Silvia Martín, Head of Fundesarte, Crafts Promotion Area at EOI

  • Tomás Alía, renowned interior designer and advocate for the value of craftsmanship in contemporary design

  • Txema Ybarra, journalist involved in the development and promotion of cultural craft related projects
