Applications close 12th July 2026

In 2026, the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize celebrates its 25th Anniversary, marking a quarter-century of championing ambitious ideas on an intimate scale while reaffirming the enduring vitality of sculpture.

This nationally significant acquisitive award, brings together artists from across Australia and situates their work within an international context. Now an internationally respected platform for creative brilliance, the Prize fosters ambitious thinking within limited dimensions, encouraging dialogue around scale, material, and the imaginative potential of contemporary sculpture.

Eligible works must be freestanding, suspended or wall-mounted sculptures, designed or completed after July 2025. There is no limit to the number of entries an artist can submit, and collaborative entries are welcome.

A non-refundable entry fee of $51.50 (plus a 0.55% transaction fee) must accompany each entered work. Entry fees contribute towards the cost of organising the Prize and Exhibition.

A total prize pool of $29,000 will be awarded:

  • Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize – $25,000

  • Special Commendation Award – $2,000
