Applications open now!
This is an exciting opportunity to meet Vietnamese and other international artisans, share knowledge, visit traditional craft villages and show your work. There are some special offers available to the first 300 applicants.
In November 2025, Hanoi ran their first International Craft Festival and the success of that event has given rise to a larger Global Craft Festival for 2026 inviting 300 international artisans to Vietnam.
In 2025, 75 artisans and artists from 30 countries participated alongside 500 Vietnamese artisans. The attached brochure has some images of that event, and an overview of the 2026 program.
What makes this event really attractive is that:
This is an uparalleled opportunity to gain an insight into the crafts of Vietnam and to meet people who share your passion and skills
Hanoi itself is home to over 1,000 craft villages – silk, bamboo, ceramics, wood carving, shell carving – the list goes on
Visiting artists may be taken on tours of these villages and given an insight into centuries of traditional practices
Visiting artisans will be provided with a booth to show their work and volunteer translators to assist navigating the Vietnamese language
The opportunity to meet up to 300 artisans from around the world; see what they create; make new friends; plan new ventures – your imagination is the only limitation.
We’ve attached a link here to a short interview with Delvene Cockatoo Collins from Stradbroke Island who participated in the 2025 Festival.
The Global Crafts Festival 2026 is built upon seven core activities, each designed to celebrate, preserve, and propel the world's artisanal heritage into the future.
