'Slow Pottery' Artist Residencies - South India

Hosted by Slow Pottery, ‘Self Guided Artist Residencies’ are where you can spend some quality time with your art form in a mango farm in South India, isolated from the hustle bustle of everyday life, immersed in your project, connecting with yourself and like minded artists in the space.

Open to all artists - You could be a writer, a painter, photographer, a ceramic artist, an illustrator, a graphic designer or a movement artist.

Multiple Dates Available:

You can choose from one to four weeks between any of these dates. Minimum stay 6 nights and 7 days

  • July 1st to 25th 2026 - hot mango month - includes a summer discount.

  • August 17th to 28th 2026

  • September 16th to 27th 2026

  • October 16th to 27th 2026

  • November 10th to December 8th 2026

Other details:

  • Accommodation - Double and single occupancy cottages, all built with local materials and vernacular design under the canopy of mango trees to keep it naturally cool. No air conditioning provided.

  • Food & Catering - All three meals provided, with snacks, tea and coffee. Wholesome homemade Indian meals cooked fresh

  • For Potters - Access to the Slow Pottery studio. No more than 5 artists at a time working together.

  • For other artists - A dedicated shared space. Depending on your work and equipment, you can choose your corner. No more than 8 artists will be working together.
