9th Golden Camellia International Cultural & Creative Design Competition 2026

Initiated in 2018, the Golden Camellia International Cultural and Creative Design Competition has grown into a benchmark event rooted in Kunming, based in Yunnan, radiating to South East Asia and facing the world after eight years of development. It holds the consistent theme of "Creativity Changes Life, Integration Creates Value".

The competition focuses on Yunnan’s unique cultural and natural resources, setting up diverse tracks such as intangible cultural heritage activation, world heritage innovation, cross-cultural integration, digital cultural and creative with AIGC, and local characteristic products. It advocates integrating traditional culture with modern technology, and combining artistic value with practical functions. Dozens of the awarded works of the competition have been selected as the “State Gifts" of China. It has formed a complete industrial chain covering creativity, intellectual property protection, industrial landing and international communication, and has achieved remarkable results in talent training and achievement transformation.

The competition has attracted more than 30,000 participants, gathering creative designers, intangible cultural heritage inheritors and craft masters. This year, the competition is reaching internationally to attract more entries from different countries and establishing deep cooperation with overseas arts and crafts organisations.

Open to artists working in visual arts, handicrafts, and other areas of design such as, toys, ornaments, installations, home decor, bookmarks, fridge magnets, calendars.

Free to participate and there are multiple prizes to be won.
